Riddell Sports and Got Her Back Announce Keep Her in the Game Grant Cycle Three Recipients

September 3, 2025

In partnership with Riddell Sports and the Women's National Football Conference (WNFC), Got Her Back launched the Keep Her In The Game Hardship Fund in 2021. The Fund supplies helmets, cleats, shoulder pads, and other critical equipment required for safe gameplay to women and girls playing flag or tackle football around the world.

Today, Got Her Back is very proud to announce the third cycle of grant recipients: twelve female football players worldwide. From youth football to the Women's National Football Conference, the 2025 grant cycle extended its reach to football players internationally of all age levels. Click below to read the stories of inspiring girls and women who will be empowered to stay in the game they love.

Special thanks to Riddell Sports for providing the equipment for the Keep Her in the Game Grant program.

“This award will encourage me to keep doing what I love. Knowing that people out there care about me, and other girls in football, really makes me happy and gives me hope that this sport will continue to grow with women for future generations.”

Dot, High School Tackle Football

"Being offered this amazing grant has now allowed me to upgrade my gear without the worrying factor of cost. As a university student, it’s often hard to balance the finances of this sport as well as uni life… This allows me to not stress about it all and enjoy the sport. I’m forever grateful that I have had the opportunity to be blessed by this."

Olivia, Women's Tackle Football & University Football, Cambridgeshire, UK

“This grant will help me continue showing up—not just for myself, but for the girls and young women who are watching. Every time I step on the field, I know I’m representing more than just my team. I’m showing younger generations that there’s a place for them in this sport, that their dreams of playing football are valid, and that women belong here. Having the right equipment helps me play at my best and stay in the game longer, so I can continue to be that example for the girls coming up behind me.”

Lexie, Women’s National Football Conference
