Gatorade has awarded Got Her Back The Gatorade Equity in Sports Community Grant. The possibilities of sport are limitless and extend far beyond the field. Gatorade is working to break down the barriers to play, promoting inclusivity in sports to elevate the game and uplift communities throughout the country.
“(Got Her Back) has been selected as a 2024-2025 Gatorade Equity in Sports Community Grant Award Recipient based on your organization and programming commitment to provide opportunities to sports, supporting athletes who are underrepresented or impacted by barriers that limit play while driving positive change and impact within your community.”
Thank you, Gatorade, for joining Got Her Back’s mission to mentor, develop, and empower girls in football. Your funding and donations will help us create confidence in female football players and increase accessibility to the game, creating strong leaders who will make change in their hometowns and beyond. We’re honored to join you as you #FuelTomorrow as a champion for equity in sports.
The Gatorade Equity in Sports Community Grant Program was launched in Spring 2022 as part of Gatorade’s Equity in Sports Initiative. Gatorade is committed to providing equity and access for athletes to play by focusing on three areas: resourcing community programs that help kids play in a safe and welcoming environment; providing access to sports facilities, equipment, apparel, and transportation; and training coaches on how to be champions for equity and inclusion.
