NFL's My Cause My Cleats: Got Her Back Selected by Isaiah Mckenzie, Indianapolis Colts

On December 3rd, 2023, Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Isaiah Mckenzie wore custom-designed Got Her Back adidas cleats in the Colts’ win against the Tennessee Titans.

Isaiah chose to highlight Got Her Back for the NFL’s My Cause My Cleats Initiative, supporting women and girls in the game with cleats featuring “#PlayLikeAGirl”, the Got Her Back logo and unity art by adidas designer Daziah Green. In the NFL offseason, Isaiah is a girls flag football coach. In selecting 501(c)(3) Got Her Back to showcase on his cleats, Isaiah’s advocacy and impact on the game continues.

Just like I go out there and play for the logo on my helmet and the name on my back, I go out there and play for all of the women out there that want to be a part of the football world. - Isaiah Mckenzie

The National Football League launched My Cause My Cleats in 2016 with the goal of giving athletes the opportunity to showcase non-profit organizations and other important causes. During Weeks 13 and 14 of the NFL season, athletes have the option to elevate visibility for the charity or cause of their choice by wearing specially designed cleats.

Following the game, select players donate their cleats to an auction, where funds are donated by the NFL Foundation to the corresponding charity. The My Cause My Cleats initiative celebrates the power of community engagement and the impact of athletes' global platform.

For Isaiah Mckenzie to support women's football and Got Her Back, to use his platform to showcase us, shows that we are making progress in women's and girl's football. Thank you, Isaiah Mckenzie for supporting women's football. - Tara "Turbo" Thomas, WNFC's Texas Elite Spartans, RB

Thank you, Isaiah, for supporting all the girls out there. That means a lot to me! - Azya Bell, Flag Football Player
